Having a meaningful legacy beyond your business and family life is something we hold very dear. Building a robust culture of philanthropy in Australia is part of Amber’s legacy. It is not about how much money you make or how much you give but just doing it regularly, leading by example and with conviction.

Here are a few projects we are committed to supporting:

  1. The First Seeds Fund: http://firstseedsfund.com.au/ and specifically being a co-founding donor to the First Seeds Fund Scholarship: http://www.publiceducationfoundation.org.au/scholarship-archive/first-seeds-scholarship/. It’s all about enhancing the education – the great social equaliser – of promising young Australian women who have been affected by degrees of disadvantage whether it be financial, social, geographical or otherwise.
  2. The Together for Humanity www.togetherforhumanity.org.au a not-for-profit organisation that is helping schools, organisations and communities to respond effectively to differences of culture and belief.
  3. Finnan’s Gift http://finnansgift.gofundraise.com.au/cms/home, a charity to help and improve lives by providing tangible gifts to The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. As a mother of two healthy sons I feel blessed to have them in my world but believe as privileged society we all have to help support the babies who need it most.
  4. Doctors without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) works in nearly 70 countries providing medical aid to those most in need regardless of their race, religion or politics (www.msf.org.auu). Goes without saying, but being Australian means enjoying freedom of speech and freedom in ways so many of our global brothers and sisters can only dream about – starting with basic needs in times of famine and conflict.
